This class incorporates all you need for a total body workout. After a warm up we move on to a 20-25 minute HIIT* (High Intensity Interval Training) session, then slow things down to concentrate on Pilates exercises to strengthen the core before stretching off.
Classes are payable half termly at a cost of £10 per class.
Tuesdays 7.45-8.45pm at Redbourn Junior School, Long Cutt, Redbourn AL3 7EX
Wednesdays 9.15-10.15am at Redbourn Village Hall, 63 High Street, Redbourn AL3 7LW.

*What is HIIT?
Exactly what it says, high intensity training at set intervals. The principle is that you must work as hard as you can for a certain amount of time or repetitions, which is then followed by a recovery time. I use functional body weight exercises (for example squats and press ups) during the class which recruit large numbers of muscle groups, giving you maximum gains in muscle strength and endurance, as well as cardiovascular fitness, which combined, turns your body in to a fat burning machine of lean muscle.
This is a short, fun, interesting way of training with huge health and fitness benefits when trained regularly.
There will be a choice of exercises offered to cater for your fitness level but please note this is a high impact, energy class so if you suffer from any injuries it may not be suitable for you. Please get in contact if you are unsure and would like to discuss further.
